With today’s advances in technology and design, you no longer have to compromise on reduced performances and comfort when opting to buy a green car. Today, green cars are slowly becoming no different from regular cars. Today, I will share on 5 of the top selling green cars.

The Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTi 95, is an extremely popular model that has been re-worked to produce an outstandingly low carbon emission of 94g/km, averaging an impressive 80.7 mpg. The CDTi 95 is a cost effective car that carries on the impeccable standards that many have come to expect from a Corsa.

Next up is the SEAT Ibiza. The SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive range is one of the longest-running green car ranges, ever growing with highly competitive sales. The Ibiza makes the perfect new car, emitting a minuscule 92g/km of carbon dioxide gas (CO2), scoring double points due to its high grade performance and attractive design.

The Ford Fiesta, UK’s best selling Supermini, now turns green. The Ford Fiesta Econetic is the greenest Fiesta yet, with a CO2 emission of 98g/km and 76.3 mpg. Great performance, reliable design, and sleek looks give the Fiesta its iconic status.

Whilst on the subject of icons, there is only one car one thinks of when they hear the words “British Car”, the Mini. The Mini was created in the 1950s to help families save money on fuel. 60 years on, they are still carrying the torch as one of the greenest car manufacturers around. The new MINI Cooper D has some spectacular stats – it emits less than 100g/km and averages a spectacular 74.3 mpg. Iconic looks, sharp handling and an overall unbeatable performance are what make Minis such joyful vehicles to own.

Finally we have UK’s best selling eco car, with a staggeringly low CO2 emission of 89g/km and averaging 72.4 mpg – the Toyota Prius is the most eco friendly car on the market. The Prius is in a league of its own, combining high quality performance with all the latest mod cons and comfort. The Prius is a shining example that no compromises need to be made when purchasing green cars.

With such benefits as road tax and London Congestion Charge exemption, as well as many other financial savings, there has never been a better time to turn green with your new car. With technology and design increasingly becoming more and more advanced, these eco friendly cars are only going to get better with time. And hopefully, it won’t be too far out in the future before all cars will be green.
